White Cotton Terry Bath Mat Construction

Compact loop-pile center

The selected bath mat uses 100% cotton terry with a compact loop-pile center. The main 80 × 50 cm format has a 900 g/m² fabric-weight target, giving the floor textile a denser construction than a lightweight guest hand towel.

50 mm flat-woven border

A 50 mm flat-woven border frames all four sides of the main format. Keep the border flat beside the terry center, with neat corner joins and bound or hemmed edges that remain consistent across the room set.

White unbacked textile

The selected construction is white cotton without a separate rubber or PVC backing. The mat belongs outside the bathing area on the bathroom floor; floor finish, handling and any separate grip requirement need their own specification.

Hotel Bath Mat Sizes and Fabric Weights

Selected white terry bath mat design beside three finished-size and fabric-weight options.

80 × 50 cm at 900 g/m²

The standard purchasing format combines an 80 × 50 cm finished rectangle with a 900 g/m² cotton-terry target. Use the same reference for the pile, woven frame, white tone and finished dimensions.

70 × 45 cm or 90 × 60 cm

The compact format is 70 × 45 cm at 850 g/m²; the larger format is 90 × 60 cm at 1000 g/m². Compare the finished footprint with the space outside the bath or shower and the operator’s folded-storage arrangement.

Plain white and room-set identification

Plain white keeps the mat coordinated with bathroom towels without making them the same item. If a property mark is needed, specify a small embroidered reference within the woven border and retain its position on the accepted sample.

Bath Mat Placement, Room Counts and Laundry Stock

Keep the mat clear of doors and wet zones

Locate the selected rectangle outside the shower or bath, with door swing and circulation shown on the room plan. A larger mat needs its own clear floor area; it should not be folded to make a smaller footprint.

Count pieces by bathroom

List mats per bathroom and the rooms using each size. Bath towels, hand towels and robes keep their own lines. Show opening stock, the laundry cycle and replacement reserves as distinct counts so one bathroom count never conceals the full order quantity.

Evaluate finished size after laundering

The selected acceptance target is a maximum 5% dimensional change in each direction after the agreed wash-and-dry procedure. Prepare and measure the sample under ISO 3759, then evaluate dimensional change using ISO 5077, with the actual care procedure recorded beside the result.

Bath Mat Sample, Packing and Order Details

Size, fabric weight and border

The quote request identifies the finished size, cotton construction, GSM target and woven-frame detail. A change to the border or pile weight affects the specification even when the outside dimensions stay the same.

Textile and washing sample

Retain a sample reference for the finished mat, including seams, corners and any embroidery. Tie the laundering evaluation to that reference so material or construction substitutions can be distinguished from the approved order.

Piece packing and room sets

State pieces per inner pack and carton, then identify any mixed room-set pack on its own line. Keep the size, mat reference and quantity on the labels; the bath mat is one piece even when packed with towels.

Opening stock and delivery stages

Separate hotel-opening quantities from replacement stock and later stages. Provide the destination, selected size mix and artwork, if any, so sample timing, minimum order quantities, production and freight can be quoted for that order.

Hotel Bath Mat Questions

What is the standard bath mat configuration?

The selected main format is 80 × 50 cm in white 100% cotton terry at 900 g/m², with a 50 mm flat-woven border around the compact loop-pile center. The construction has no separate rubber or PVC backing.

How do the three bath mat options differ?

The compact format is 70 × 45 cm at 850 g/m²; the standard format is 80 × 50 cm at 900 g/m²; the large format is 90 × 60 cm at 1000 g/m². Keep finished size and fabric weight together when comparing samples.

Does the mat have a non-slip backing?

The specified construction is an unbacked cotton textile. A separate grip layer or tested slip-resistance requirement must be identified as a different construction or accessory, with its floor compatibility and laundering requirements reviewed together.

What laundering requirement is included?

The purchasing target is no more than 5% dimensional change in each direction after the agreed wash-and-dry procedure. Use ISO 3759 specimen preparation and ISO 5077 measurement evaluation, with the actual washing and drying settings retained in the sample record.

Can the mat be ordered with the hotel towels?

Yes. A bathroom-supply schedule can include both, with separate product references, sizes and piece counts. If they are packed as room sets, state the exact mat and towel contents so replacement stock remains identifiable.

Can a property logo be added?

A small embroidered mark can be specified in the woven border. Provide the artwork size, position and thread color, then include the embroidery in the sample and laundering evaluation. The inside finish and border flatness are part of that review.
