Interior Wood Door Styles & Movement

Paneled Hinged Doors

Two-panel doors with engineered stiles and oak timber doors with reeded-glass panels suit classic and modern interiors. We match rails and panel profiles to your room trim.

Selected plain oak-veneer flush door partly open in its matching frame, with a substantial leaf edge, butt hinges and lever latch.

Veneered Flush Doors

An oak-veneered solid-core flush door gives a clean face with continuous grain. The same face can be quoted as a fire-rated or acoustic door set once we confirm the certificate for the rating you need.

Surface Sliding Wood Doors

A veneer sliding door on a surface-mounted top track slides across the wall, saving swing space. It needs clear wall beside the opening and a floor guide.

White louvered wood bifold pair with fixed louvers, three center hinges, left pivot and an outer top-track guide.

Louvered Bifold Doors

Painted solid-pine louvered bifold doors fold in pairs for closets and laundry rooms, letting air through while hiding the contents.

Wood Door Faces, Cores & Fittings

Veneer & Painted Faces

Veneer faces show natural grain and color variation; painted faces show panel profiles. Both faces and edges are finished.

Core, Rails & Stiles

Leaves are engineered solid core or framed with stiles and rails; we reinforce the hardware positions for each build.

Jambs, Tracks & Latches

Hinged doors come with jambs, strikes and hinges; sliders with a top track and floor guide; bifolds with pivots and center hinges.

Interior Wood Door Quote Factors

Leaf Build & Face

A veneered solid core, a framed panel door and a pine louvered bifold cost differently. Compare the same build.

Frames & Casings

A bare leaf, a machined leaf and a complete door set with frame and casing are different prices; wall thickness changes the trim.

Track & Hardware

Sliding hangers, soft-close devices, privacy locks and special hinges add hardware.

Finish Matching

Matched veneer and painted profiles add finishing; we price adjoining doors from one finish sample.

Ordering Room-by-Room Door Sets

  1. Mark each door

Mark every door on the plan with its function: passage, bathroom, bedroom or closet.

  2. Measure the walls

Send finished wall thickness and floor levels for each opening.

  3. Approve face and hardware

We set panels or veneer grain with hinges, locks and pulls, and machine the leaves to suit.

  4. Complete door sets

We build to your wall thickness and door schedule and pack each leaf with its frame, trim and hardware, labeled by opening.

Interior Wood Door Purchasing Questions

What does solid core mean?

A solid engineered core under the veneer, which makes the door heavy, quiet and stable.

How much space does a sliding door need?

Clear wall beside the opening as wide as the door, plus room above for the track. Keep switches out of the way.

What is the difference between jambs and casing?

The jamb lines the opening and carries the door; casing covers the joint at the wall. We supply both.

Can I change a passage door to a privacy door later?

It is easier to decide now, because the lock is machined at the factory. Tell us each room's function and we prepare the right lock.

Will veneer doors match each other?

Veneer varies naturally. We match grain and tone across adjoining doors to the sample you approve.

What hardware do bifold doors use?

Center hinges with a pivot and guide set, which we supply with each pair.
