A builder who needed fewer moving parts
Our client is a New York builder who handles new houses and renovations for their own customers. The introduction came from one of our existing clients, and the brief was what every contractor needs from an overseas supplier: stable quality, clear communication and a delivery that does not need chasing.
For this house the builder ordered aluminum-clad wood windows, sliding doors, kitchen cabinets and wood flooring, selected to the house design, the installation details and the construction schedule.
We shipped the whole order on DDP terms, delivered duty paid to the door in New York. Customs clearance, duties and the final delivery were taken care of on our side, which simplified the import and saved the builder time on site.
What we supplied
| Product group | What we supplied |
|---|---|
| Windows | Aluminum-clad wood windows built to the house’s opening schedule. |
| Doors | Sliding doors for the residential openings. |
| Kitchen | Kitchen cabinets to the client’s layout. |
| Flooring | Wood flooring for the house. |
| Logistics | DDP delivery: duties paid and delivered door to door in New York. |

Checked before it was packed
Before shipment we checked the windows and the rest of the order against the confirmed requirements: frame appearance, glass configuration, product details, packaging and delivery preparation.
For a builder, every window reflects on their reputation with the homeowner, so the frame finish and the packing got particular attention.
From the factory floor to the job site
The door and window frames were made and checked in the factory while the house went up in New York. Because the order was delivered DDP to the door, the builder could plan installation around the arrival date instead of managing customs and inland freight.
The result
After installation, both the builder and the homeowner gave positive feedback on the products and the service.
The project also built a working relationship with a local New York builder. If you build or renovate houses and want the same arrangement, read how DDP and DAP divide import responsibilities, then send us your opening schedule and cabinet layout.
