How much space does a hinged wardrobe need in front of the doors?
The opening zone follows the actual leaf width and opening path. At 90°, a door projects roughly its own width ahead of the cabinet, with extra room needed for its pull and the person using the wardrobe. A bed or bedside table can therefore change the door divisions even when the cabinet itself fits the wall.
Can more than one hinged wardrobe bay be opened at the same time?
Yes, the outward-opening layout allows several bays to be accessible together. Unlike overlapping sliding leaves, the doors do not park in front of the neighboring bay. Adjacent leaves, room corners and furniture still need compatible opening paths in the final layout.
Are the glass wardrobe doors and melamine doors built the same way?
They are built differently. The opaque front is melamine-faced particleboard; the glass panel sits in a frame with matching hinges. Both share one front layout, and the glass door is specified as its own assembly, with its glass thickness, frame details and hardware.
What changes when I choose plywood instead of particleboard wardrobe boxes?
The cabinet core changes, while the melamine and glass door arrangement can stay the same. The plywood option on this page uses 18 mm structural panels and shelves with a supported 6 mm back. Melamine-faced particleboard is the other construction choice, named in the quotation so the same front finish never hides it.
Will internal drawers clear the hinged wardrobe doors?
No. They will when the drawer position and hinge application are coordinated for the opening. Door overlap, frame width, hinge protrusion and the runner path all use the same space. A wider-opening or different hinge application may be needed at a drawer bay.
Does the hinged wardrobe package include glass doors, lighting and installation?
The scheduled melamine/glass doors, compatible hinges and specified storage components form the cabinet package. Lighting and its electrical connection are separate items, as are destination freight, unloading and local assembly or fixing. The quote distinguishes these costs from the wardrobe subtotal.
