Housing and Hinged Cover
This package includes the selected steel housing, brass hinged cover and listed mechanical fixings. It establishes the recess and access arrangement for the equipment scheduled to that location.
Recessed Floor Outlet Boxes with Hinged Brass Covers
The selected square cover is 120 × 120 mm and 4 mm thick. A rear hinge opens the lid above the housing. A recessed fold-flat lift tab and two cable-exit notches form the selected access details, with the cover top coordinated to the finished-floor datum.
A galvanized-steel recessed housing sits below the cover. Its selected outside body is 100 mm square and 70 mm deep beneath the cover underside. The housing detail identifies entry positions, attachment points and the selected device or carrier interface.
The alternate package adds a carrier for the project-selected destination socket mechanism. The carrier position and mechanism envelope are coordinated within the housing. Device selection, wiring entries and bonding remain named components of the complete floor-outlet assembly schedule.

This package includes the selected steel housing, brass hinged cover and listed mechanical fixings. It establishes the recess and access arrangement for the equipment scheduled to that location.
The second package adds the selected carrier to the same housing and cover. The project schedule identifies the destination socket mechanism and its mounting interface, together with the required cable route and connection access.
The selected top surface is brushed brass, with the galvanized-steel housing below. Hinge, lift tab, cable notches and exposed fasteners are recorded with that cover reference. The device and carrier retain their own material and connection entries.
| Enclosure type | Recessed galvanized-steel floor box with hinged brass cover |
|---|---|
| Supply package | 120 × 120 × 4 mm brass cover · 100 × 100 × 70 mm steel housing · selected fixings |
| Outside cover | 120 × 120 × 4 mm |
| Recessed housing | 100 × 100 × 70 mm below cover underside |
| Selected floor cutout | 104 × 104 mm · nominal 2 mm housing allowance per side |
| Vertical datum and total depth | Cover top at finished floor · 4 mm cover + 70 mm housing = 74 mm recess depth |
| Cover access details | Rear hinge, recessed fold-flat lift tab and two cable-exit notches |
| Supply unit | One selected enclosure package with listed fixings and scheduled destination device interfaces |
The selected floor opening is 104 mm square around the 100 mm housing, giving a nominal 2 mm allowance at each side. A centered 120 mm cover overlaps that cutout by 8 mm per side. Floor finish edges and the cover seat are coordinated with these dimensions.
The cover top is the finished-floor zero datum. The 4 mm cover occupies the first 4 mm below it, and the 70 mm housing is scheduled below the cover underside. The resulting selected recess depth is 74 mm from the finished-floor plane.
Identify the destination socket mechanism, carrier and rear connection envelope with the project electrical schedule. Coordinate cable routes, housing entries and bonding with the floor build-up. The lid swing and cable exits remain accessible in the floor layout.
List the 120 × 120 × 4 mm cover, rear hinge, recessed lift tab and two cable-exit notches. The order identifies the selected brushed surface and exposed fastening details.
Include the 100 × 100 × 70 mm selected housing and listed mechanical fixings. The floor detail records its position beneath the cover, entry locations and the 104 mm cutout basis.
For the carrier package, list the selected carrier and its socket-mounting interface. Destination device, wiring and bonding components are individually identified on the complete assembly schedule.
Assign quantities by floor location and equipment reference. Include the floor datum, lid access, component labels and protection for the brass surface, with matched carriers and fixings grouped for each box.
The cover is 120 mm square, the housing is 100 mm square and the selected cutout is 104 mm square. A centered housing has a nominal 2 mm cutout allowance per side; the centered cover overlaps the cutout by 8 mm per side.
Measure downward from the cover top at the finished-floor datum. The 4 mm cover is followed by the 70 mm housing below its underside, giving a selected total of 74 mm.
The basic package supplies the housing, hinged brass cover and listed fixings. The alternate adds the selected carrier for the destination socket mechanism. The device mounting and connection envelope are coordinated with that carrier.
A recessed fold-flat lift tab opens the rear-hinged cover. Two cable-exit notches provide the selected cable routes at the cover edge. The floor layout coordinates access to the lid and those exits.
Identify the destination socket mechanism, carrier position, wiring entry and connection envelope. Include the bonding arrangement and cable route with the actual floor build-up and supporting detail.
Provide floor locations and quantities, the chosen package, floor build-up and datum. Add the selected device interface, cable entries, bonding, finish reference and the required component labels and protective packing.
