Stone Cutting, Edge Processing & Assembly Costs
The price follows the material and the physical work required for each piece. Straight cuts, shaped openings, exposed edges, mitered returns and assembled elements each have their own line so alternatives can be compared against the same component list.
- Material Use, Geometry & Machining
- Stone choice, specified thickness, usable slab or block size, piece geometry and cutting layout affect material use. CNC shaping, waterjet details, holes and equipment cutouts add their own processing work. A revised shape or opening is reviewed with the material and component price.
- Edges, Samples & Custom Assembly
- Profiled edges, exposed cutout edges, miters, polished or otherwise specified faces and joined sections affect finishing and assembly work. Requested edge samples, corner samples, prototypes or specialist tests identify their preparation cost and timing for buyer approval before the work begins.
- Piece Protection, Crates & Delivery
- Large or shaped pieces, loose returns, finished edges and assembled elements need the agreed protection and packing format. Crate grouping, area labels, packed size and weight affect freight and handling. Local unloading, lifting, fitting, joining and installation are each assigned.
