Remote Measurement Guidance

Prepare the site information needed for custom cabinets, doors, windows and other fitted products. NOVARMIA guides your local measuring contact on the dimensions, photos and reference points to provide, then clarifies missing or inconsistent inputs before the next drawing or quotation stage.

Request Measurement Guidance

A Measurement Brief for Your Custom Products

We identify the site information needed for the products you plan to order and connect each request to its room, opening or fitted location. The returned brief and clarification notes distinguish supplied dimensions, questions for the local measurer and items still awaiting final confirmation.

Brief detailInformation coordinated
Product & PlaceThe proposed product, room or opening reference, intended fit and the drawing or photograph identifying its location.
Points & UnitsThe dimensions to collect, their start and end faces, units, orientation and the surface or finish condition being measured.
Photos & QuestionsContext views and close-ups connected to the dimension references, with missing, unclear or conflicting information returned as specific questions.
Local CheckThe appointed measuring contact, information date and confirmation status, with outstanding site checks identified before product details are finalized.

Product-Specific Measurement References

  • Cabinet Runs & Fitted Storage

Wall runs, corners, finished floor and ceiling references, obstructions and the adjacent products or services that limit the fitted space.

  • Door & Window Openings

Opening identity, the faces measured, wall and finish condition, orientation and the local information needed for the proposed frame.

  • Tops & Other Fitted Pieces

Locally verified supporting units or templates, equipment references and adjoining finishes, with the party responsible for the final fitted dimensions identified.

Measurement Guidance for Existing Rooms & New Construction

Existing Rooms, Openings & Fitted Products

For an existing space, we review the plan and photos with your local measuring contact to identify the relevant wall runs, openings, corners and obstructions. Questions refer to the actual location and the reference faces shown. Additional views or measurements are requested where a detail cannot be understood from the material supplied.

Cabinet & Furniture Shop Drawings

Unfinished Spaces & Later Site Checks

For work still under construction, we separate planned dimensions from measurements of the current site. Finishes, floors, substrates and adjoining work that can change the fit remain identified. The brief names the information needed after those works are ready and the local party responsible for confirming it.

Door & Window Shop Drawings

Units, Reference Faces & Measurement Status

We review how the reported dimensions relate to the product location. The same opening or wall can be described using different faces or finish stages; those references are resolved with the local contact before the information passes into product development.

Units & Dimension References

Each dimension needs its unit and an identifiable start and end point. We clarify whether a value describes the room, an opening, an existing product or a proposed finished size. Conflicting units and dimensions recorded between different faces are referred back to the measuring contact.

Finished Surfaces & Adjoining Work

The brief records whether walls and floors are finished and identifies adjacent panels, frames, countertops or equipment. A dimension taken before those elements are in place keeps that status. Required later checks remain attached to the affected product or opening.

Measured, Planned & Awaiting Confirmation

We retain the source and date of the site information and distinguish locally measured values from plan dimensions or estimates. Unresolved discrepancies receive a location-specific question. A revised input identifies the dimension it replaces and the local person providing the confirmation.

Plans, Photos & Reference Points for Remote Review

A marked plan connects the product locations, while photos or video show the faces, finishes and obstructions around them. We use these together to identify missing information and clarify the measurement request with the person who can inspect the site.

Site inputInformation providedGuidance returned
Plans & LocationsCurrent floor plan, elevations or a clear sketch with room names, product positions and opening references.A product-specific list of dimensions and site details to collect, tied to those references.
Photos & VideoOverall views and close-ups showing the relevant opening, corner, finish, obstruction and measurement endpoints.Questions or marked references clarifying which faces and details the local contact needs to record.
Dimensions & DateRecorded values with units, reference faces, site date, finish condition and the person who took the measurements.Clarification of inconsistent or missing inputs and the values requiring local remeasurement or later confirmation.
Local ContactThe measuring or installation contact, project location, current construction stage and availability for an agreed discussion. The remote review arrangement, follow-up questions and responsibility for final site confirmation.

Measurement Review, Site Rechecks & Drawing Inputs

We coordinate the measurement request and review the returned site information for the intended product. Clarifications stay connected to the affected room or opening, so the next drawing or quotation stage can distinguish confirmed inputs from open site questions.

  1. Define the Product & Measurement Request

We review your product list, plans and current photos to identify the information needed. The guidance names the relevant locations, dimension references, units and additional views, along with the local person who will collect them.

  2. Clarify the Returned Site Information

We compare the supplied values and views for the same location and raise specific questions where references, units or finish conditions differ. Your local contact checks the physical site and returns the corrected or missing information. An agreed video discussion can help explain an unclear detail.

  3. Hand Over the Measurement References

The handoff identifies the current site inputs, the local confirmations received and any outstanding checks. Product drawing and quotation teams use those references for their agreed work. Final order approval and permission to manufacture remain separate decisions based on the required local verification and accepted product details.

Remote guidance does not verify the physical site or replace the appointed local measurer’s final checks. Structural assessment, services, installation clearances and site work remain with the responsible qualified local parties. Product shop drawings and installation support have their own agreed terms.

Remote Measurement Review Costs

Our quote identifies the products and locations covered, the available site information and the guidance to return. A short clarification of an existing measured opening involves different work from organizing inputs for several rooms or a changing construction site.

Products, Locations & Existing Information
The number and type of custom items, current plans, reference photos and missing dimensions determine the review work. Our proposal names the measurement brief, written questions or annotated references included and how they will be supplied.
Remote Discussions & Further Reviews
Any video appointment is arranged with the project contact and the local person who can inspect or measure the site. Added locations, changed plans or further reviews are described with their fee and timing for buyer approval before the additional work begins.
Local Measurement, Drawings & Site Work
Local measuring labor, site attendance, specialist surveys and later templates are each assigned. Product shop drawings, installation drawings and site installation are included only when named in the relevant service or product quote.

NOVARMIA Project Process

Remote Measurement Guidance Questions

Can we start without CAD plans or a complete measurement set?

Yes. A clear sketch, current photos and the custom products you are considering can start the review. We identify the missing dimensions and site details needed for the next stage. Product development still needs the relevant locally confirmed inputs before those details can be finalized.

Can photographs or a video call establish the final dimensions?

They help explain the site and the measurement references, but they do not establish verified physical dimensions. The appointed local person takes and confirms the measurements. We use the views to clarify locations, endpoints and questions that need a site check.

Who takes the measurements at our project?

Your appointed local measuring contact, installer or other suitable project professional collects and confirms the site information. NOVARMIA guides that person on the inputs needed for the proposed products. Any requested site attendance requires a separate feasibility, responsibility and cost agreement.

Can guidance begin before floors and wall finishes are complete?

Yes, for planning and identifying the information to collect. Current measurements and planned finished dimensions keep their separate status. The affected products need the specified later site checks when finishes or adjoining work can change their fit.

What happens if measurements conflict or use different units?

We identify the affected value, unit and reference faces and return a specific question to the local measuring contact. That person confirms or remeasures the site and identifies the corrected input. A value is not selected from a conflicting set without resolving what was measured.

Does measurement guidance include product drawings and installation?

The measurement brief supports those later stages; it does not automatically include them. Cabinet, furniture, door or window shop drawings are commissioned for their defined product package. Installation drawings, local labor and site work retain their own agreed responsibilities and charges.
