Solid-Ash Top, Four Corner Legs & Timber Aprons

A 30 mm Solid-Ash Glued-Panel Top

The selected rectangular top is 1800 × 900 mm and 30 mm thick, built as a solid-ash glued panel. Its boards run along the table length, with grain and color variation kept within the accepted face range. The perimeter is straight with lightly eased edges, preserving the rectangular dining surface without an extension joint.

Four 60 mm Square Legs at the Corners

Four separate 60 × 60 mm ash legs support the tabletop. Each outside leg face is set 50 mm inward from its corresponding top edge. This arrangement leaves 1580 mm between the inner leg faces along the length and 680 mm across the width. Those spaces describe the selected leg geometry; chairs and knees also have to clear the aprons above them.

Perimeter Aprons and a Movement-Compatible Top Connection

Selected 20 mm-thick, 80 mm-deep timber aprons join the four legs directly below the top. The fixed leg-and-apron frame supports the top through attachments that accommodate cross-grain wood movement. The actual joint, fastener layout and permitted movement follow the accepted assembly detail. There is no folding frame, lifting mechanism or extension leaf in this construction.

Ash Grain, Glued-Panel Layout & Clear Matte Finish

Separate selected thicknesses for the solid-ash top, square legs and aprons, with a movement-compatible top connection

Ash Grain across the Glued Top

The top is assembled from solid ash boards. Board width, grain direction, knots and color movement define the accepted face range. A more uniform board selection and a broader natural range are different appearance choices, scheduled within the same solid-ash construction.

Clear Matte Finish on the Top and Frame

The selected finish is clear matte across the tabletop, exposed edges, legs and aprons. The finish schedule also includes the underside treatment for the solid-wood top. An accepted ash sample establishes color and sheen together, so the frame and top are coordinated without expecting identical grain on every part.

Protection from Heat, Moisture and Abrasion

Use coasters and placemats under drinks and serving items, and wipe spills promptly before drying the surface. Soft pads under hard objects reduce direct abrasion. The accepted coating determines compatible cleaners; prolonged moisture and hot cookware are kept off direct contact with the wood finish.

Dining Chair Fit, Apron Clearance & Wood Movement

750 mm Overall Height and 640 mm below the Aprons

The selected table is 750 mm high overall. Subtracting the 30 mm top and 80 mm apron depth leaves a nominal 640 mm clear height below the apron. The top underside itself is 720 mm above the floor, so chair arms and knees approaching through an apron side use the lower 640 mm reference. The final floor-contact detail is accommodated within the selected overall height.

1580 × 680 mm between the Inner Leg Faces

The lengthwise opening is 1800 - 2 × (50 + 60) = 1580 mm. Across the width, 900 - 2 × (50 + 60) = 680 mm. These dimensions are checked with the actual chair widths, arms and foot positions. The room layout adds occupied chair depth and pullback space beyond the tabletop.

Room Conditions, Top Movement and Delivery Access

The solid-wood top and its attachment are coordinated with the expected interior conditions, allowing movement across the board grain. The delivery plan records the largest packed component, doorway turns and any assigned site assembly. The accepted joinery determines whether the top and frame travel as two packages.

Custom Ash Dining Table Pricing & Supply

Ash Boards, Top Size and Edge Processing

The top line identifies the 30 mm glued panel, selected board range, rectangular size and eased edge finish. Board selection and the amount of natural variation affect the wood work. Resizing the table changes the panel and the leg-and-apron schedule together.

Legs, Aprons and Fixed Joinery

The frame price follows four square legs, four perimeter aprons and their agreed joints. The top attachment is listed with the movement detail and its named fasteners. A revised apron depth changes both the frame construction and the chair-clearance dimension.

Clear Finish and Separate Dining Chairs

The coating schedule covers the top, underside, edges, legs and aprons in the accepted clear matte finish. Samples and any additional matching furniture are each listed. Dining chairs remain distinct items, selected for the actual apron height and inner leg spacing.

Packing, Handling and On-Site Assembly

Packing protects the tabletop corners, finished faces and leg ends. Freight, unloading, internal handling, floor protection and any site assembly are assigned for the destination. Table quantity, accepted ash selection and delivery condition establish the actual quotation and production schedule. Tell us the rooms and quantities and we will put this on one quote with everything else you are ordering, and show you what fits in a container.

Four-Leg Ash Dining Table Ordering FAQs

Is the tabletop solid ash or wood veneer?

The selected top is a 30 mm solid-ash glued panel, with ash boards running along the table length. The frame uses ash legs and timber aprons under the same material schedule. The accepted board range defines the natural grain and color variation.

What is the clearance below the table aprons?

The selected nominal clearance is 640 mm: 750 mm overall height minus the 30 mm top and 80 mm apron depth. The top underside is higher, at 720 mm. Chair arms or knees entering from an apron side therefore use the 640 mm reference.

How much space is there between the legs?

The selected inner spacing is 1580 mm along the length and 680 mm across the width. Both follow the 50 mm outside setback and 60 mm leg section. Actual chair widths, arms and foot positions determine the usable seating layout, with pullback and circulation added around the table.

Can the table be extended or folded?

No. This is a fixed rectangular table with four legs and perimeter aprons. It has no extension leaf, folding frame or height adjustment. A change to the selected size is a revised table specification.

How is wood movement handled at the tabletop?

The selected top attachment accommodates movement across the ash board grain while connecting the top to the leg-and-apron frame. The accepted assembly sets the attachment positions and permitted movement for the actual top and room conditions. The top is not rigidly locked across its full width without that allowance.

Are dining chairs and on-site assembly included?

The table line lists the top, legs, aprons, agreed joints and attachments, and finish. Chairs, freight, unloading, floor protection and site assembly are included only where listed on their own lines. The packing and assembly plan identifies the delivered parts and site responsibilities.
