Floating Media Cabinet Boxes, Supports & Storage

Wall-Mounted Media Cabinets & Separate TV Brackets

The cabinet is fixed to suitable wall backing through a dedicated suspension and reinforced fixing zones. Its mounting carries the cabinet and scheduled contents. The TV uses a separate bracket, so screen weight does not become an assumed load on the cabinet top.

18 mm Plywood Media Cabinets & Melamine Fronts

Melamine-faced particleboard fronts sit on 18 mm plywood cabinet boxes. Supported 6 mm backs close the storage compartments, and reinforced fixing zones carry the suspension connection. Drawers, hinged doors and open AV bays are individual modules, with metal pulls on the closed fronts.

AV Component Bays & Rear Cable Space

The AV bay holds the component body plus its plugs, cable bends and the maker’s cooling space. Removable rear access keeps connectors reachable. An open bay serves equipment that needs a direct control path or cannot operate behind a closed door.

Floating TV Cabinet Finishes & Hardware

Three flat media-cabinet finish preferences arranged left to right in graphite, walnut look and warm white on a pale neutral surface

Graphite Media Cabinet Fronts & Pulls

Graphite melamine gives doors, drawers and exposed ends a dark, consistent face. Matching edge banding closes the panel edges. Metal pulls add a second finish and sit clear of neighboring doors.

Walnut-Look Media Cabinets & Top Edges

Walnut-look melamine gives a wood-grain surface on the same cabinet construction, with the grain running along the front layout. Matching wall panels can be added as an extra joinery item.

Warm White TV Cabinets & Exposed Undersides

Warm white can cover the whole cabinet or contrast with darker open bays. The finish schedule includes the exposed ends and the underside, which shows because the cabinet floats above the floor. Internal shelves can keep the same decor or take a contrasting interior.

Media Cabinet Ventilation, Controls & Speaker Placement

Floating Media Cabinet Position & Wall Mounting

The elevation places the cabinet, TV and speakers relative to the wall and finished floor. The actual wall substrate, backing and fixings determine the mounting design. Cabinet and TV loads are recorded independently.

AV Ventilation, Cables & Removable Service Panels

Cooling and cable routes follow the equipment manufacturers’ requirements. Connector access and removable panels remain usable after installation. Equipment can need more depth than its stated case size once plugs and cable bends are included.

Soundbar Position & Remote-Control Access

Soundbar or speaker placement follows the equipment's clearance and acoustic instructions. Door construction also affects infrared remote control, so where doors close over equipment we add a compatible infrared extension as its own component.

Floating TV Cabinet Cost & Equipment Space

Floating Media Cabinet Lengths & Module Divisions

The cabinet price follows module sizes, drawers, doors and open AV bays, with finished ends and internal partitions counted as extra parts. Two cabinets of similar length can hold a different mix of storage and equipment space.

Melamine Cabinet Finishes & Pulls

Melamine decor, panel cores, edges and pulls set the finish and construction price. Matching wall panels or a second decor are added as their own items.

Media Cabinet Fittings, Cable Openings & Access Covers

Drawer runners, hinges, shelf supports and cabinet suspension parts form the hardware cost. Cable entries, removable covers and any ventilation or control components add their own fabrication and fitting work. A separate TV bracket is outside the cabinet assembly.

Media Cabinet Installation & Separate Electronics

Packing and freight cover the specified cabinet components. The quote distinguishes mounting work, wall backing and local electrical connections. Television, bracket, speakers and AV equipment remain separate supply lines. Tell us the rooms and quantities and we will put this on one quote with everything else you are ordering, and show you what fits in a container.

Floating TV Cabinet FAQs

Can the floating TV cabinet carry or mount the television?

The TV has its own bracket fixed to suitable wall structure. The cabinet suspension carries the cabinet and its scheduled contents. If a television is to stand on the cabinet top, that load must be added to the cabinet mounting design before manufacture.

How much space is needed inside the cabinet for AV equipment?

Measure the component body, then add the depth occupied by plugs and cable bends and the cooling clearances in its installation instructions. These dimensions define the clear AV bay after backs, doors and fittings. An open equipment bay avoids the loss of front access caused by a door.

Will remote controls work with the media cabinet doors closed?

Infrared equipment needs a direct signal path or a compatible infrared receiver/extension. An open AV bay provides that path. Radio or network-controlled devices follow their own control requirements; the selected equipment determines whether closed storage is suitable.

Where should a soundbar or speaker sit relative to the floating cabinet?

Placement follows the selected speaker or soundbar instructions and the TV position. Shelves, doors and the cabinet top must not obstruct required clearances or the equipment’s intended operation. Those dimensions are coordinated on the wall elevation.

How do drawer and shelf load ratings relate to the cabinet’s wall capacity?

A drawer runner or shelf rating belongs to that component and its support. The cabinet suspension, reinforced fixing zones, anchors and wall backing are a different load path, sized for the complete cabinet and its scheduled loads; adding up runner ratings does not give the wall load.

Are the TV, wall bracket, speakers and display items included?

The cabinet package covers the specified boxes, fronts, storage fittings and cabinet suspension components. TV, bracket, speakers and other electronics are separate supply items. Lighting, wall panels and AV control extensions can be added as named options.
