Matte Deep Navy Paint
Match the cabinet door paint reference and sheen on a physical crown sample. Review the painted profile beside the door front.
Stepped Cabinet Crown Molding in Deep Navy
The crown finishes the upper edge of full-height kitchen cabinetry with a projecting top cap, curved cove and lower fascia. The deep navy finish carries across the cabinet front and crown, giving the fitted run a continuous top edge.
Specify paint-grade MDF for the built-up crown, with sealed cut edges and a matched paint system. The selected design uses 18 mm cap and fascia stock. The cove is machined to the approved profile; its shape and joints belong on the crown section.
The selected installed profile rises 120 mm above its lower edge and projects 70 mm from the cabinet face datum. Use these selected procurement dimensions to coordinate the crown section, cabinet doors and ceiling gap.

Identify every inside and outside corner on the run plan. Continue the cove and cap around exposed ends, with matching return pieces. A crown ending against a wall needs a different cut from an exposed return over an end panel.
Use 2400 mm straight lengths as the selected cutting basis, with shorter pieces cut for each run. Place necessary straight-run joints away from prominent corners where practical, and keep exposed end treatment on the cut schedule.

Dimension the 70 mm projection from the cabinet face, then show the support or fixing strip behind the crown. The decorative molding does not act as the cabinet’s structural support. Fixings must suit the actual cabinet construction and approved crown assembly.
Measure the ceiling above the complete run at several points. The selected crown rise and any top scribe must fit that gap. Keep the cove profile consistent and take up a changing ceiling level in the scribe, leaving the cove face intact.
Check the crown against the tallest door movement and adjoining hood or appliance housing. Show changes in cabinet depth on the plan, with their own return pieces. The crown order covers the trim component, while doors, housings and appliances are specified on their own.
List each run by cabinet elevation, finished length and quantity. Count internal corners, external corners and exposed returns individually, so the cutting work shows clearly next to the linear-meter total.
Identify the selected MDF build, 120 mm rise, 70 mm projection and 18 mm cap/fascia stock. Include the cove profile and paint reference. A matched-color flat strip is a different item from this built-up crown.
Separate full-length bars from pre-cut pieces. Give pre-cut parts a run and corner reference, and protect the painted faces and projecting edges in packing. Replacement pieces need the same profile and finish reference.
The quotation identifies crown pieces, any included backing strips, painting, packing and destination. Cabinet carcasses, doors, hardware, countertop and installation are included only when expressly added.
This is a separate trim-component schedule. It can be coordinated with the cabinet finish, but the quotation must identify whether the crown and its backing strips are included. Cabinet carcasses, doors and hardware are separate items.
They describe the selected installed crown rise and its projection from the cabinet face datum. They are project procurement dimensions. The approval section also shows the cap, cove, fascia and fixing arrangement.
The selected construction is paint-grade MDF with sealed cut edges. A different core requires its own profile, machining and finish approval.
Specify the same approved paint reference and sheen, then review a painted crown profile beside the door. Curved and flat faces reflect light differently, even when they use the same paint.
Each corner and return is identified on the run plan. The supply schedule distinguishes full bars from pre-cut pieces and includes the profile continuation around exposed ends. A wall termination and an exposed return require different cuts.
The crown and any top scribe are designed for the measured gap across the run. A changing gap is taken up in the approved detail while the crown profile stays intact. Check cabinet door movement before fixing the trim.
