Wood Bifold Leaves, Fixed Louvers and Pivot Hardware

Solid Pine Frame and Louvers

The selected leaf uses painted solid pine stiles, rails and fixed louvers. The 35 mm nominal thickness applies to the complete leaf frame. Angled louver blades sit within the framed openings, while the stiles and rails carry the center hinges, pivot fittings and pull.

Upper and Lower Louver Sections

Each leaf has two louvered areas separated by a center rail. The selected frame uses 65 mm stiles,90 mm top and bottom rails and a 70 mm center rail. Those members define the louver openings and give the two folding leaves a continuous, balanced elevation.

Linked Bifold Hardware

Three center hinges join the leaves. The pair pivots at the outer jamb and uses a guide at the opposite top corner to travel along the head track. A lower pivot supports the jamb-side leaf, and the free leaf bottom stays clear during the folding movement.

900 mm and 1200 mm Louvered Door Pairs

Product configuration and component choices for Louvered Bifold Wood Interior Doors

900 mm Nominal Pair

Two 450 mm leaf modules form the narrower pair. Each leaf is 2040 mm high and 35 mm thick. The 900 mm dimension describes the sum of nominal leaf modules; the track, jamb details and working gaps are coordinated with the actual opening.

1200 mm Nominal Pair

Two 600 mm leaf modules provide the wider version at the same height and thickness. The larger leaves extend farther into the room while folding. This is a width option of the same construction, with its track and hardware package selected for the pair.

Painted Faces and Louver Edges

The doors are painted white on both faces, the frame edges and the exposed louver blades. Pull color and hinge finish are listed with the paint choice, so small hardware follows the same interior schedule.

Bifold Track, Leaf Fold and Opening Clearances

Leaf Size and Finished Opening

Separate nominal leaf dimensions from the finished opening. End gaps, center-hinge clearance, pivot adjustment and floor clearance all contribute to the fitted assembly. Record the finished jamb width and floor datum before setting the track length and leaf fabrication dimensions.

Fold Direction and Pull Position

Choose whether the pair parks at the left or right jamb, viewed from the approach side. The pivot sits at that jamb, and the guided free leaf moves toward it. Position the pull on the intended operating face and allow space for the folded leaves beside adjacent furniture.

Interior Ventilated Openings

Fixed louvers provide an open-air path through the leaf. This arrangement suits an interior storage or utility opening where that open construction is useful. The room plan also identifies equipment access, trim projection and the full leaf-fold envelope.

Louvered Bifold Door Supply

Matched Pair

The main line covers two matching louvered leaves, painted to the same finish and identified as a linked pair. Record nominal width, leaf height and thickness together.

Track and Pivot Package

Schedule the head track, top pivot, guide, bottom pivot and center hinges as a compatible set. Track covers and jamb brackets are listed with their intended mounting surfaces.

Pulls and Edge Details

Pull style, hinge finish and painted edge coverage affect the finished assembly, and a second operating face or special trim interface is noted in the hardware and finish schedule.

Jamb and Installation Work

The quotation separates the door pair from surrounding jambs, casing and installation. Opening measurements, floor finish and folding direction determine the site-specific fitting work.

Louvered Wood Bifold Door Questions

What do 900 mm and 1200 mm refer to?

They are combined nominal leaf-module widths: two 450 mm leaves or two 600 mm leaves. Finished opening width also accommodates the working gaps, pivots and jamb arrangement. The dimensional schedule keeps these measurements separate.

How does the pair fold?

The two leaves fold around three center hinges. The outer jamb-side leaf pivots, while the top corner of the free leaf follows the head track. The lower pivot is at the jamb side, leaving the free lower corner clear of the floor.

Are the louvers adjustable?

The selected louvers are fixed at an angle within the wood frame. The design uses upper and lower louver sections separated by a center rail. The louver openings, blade arrangement and paint coverage are part of the leaf schedule.

Which wood and finish are selected?

The frame members and louvers are solid pine with a white painted finish on both leaf faces, edges and louver surfaces. Pulls and hinges have their own finish entries.

What changes when the pair is wider?

The 1200 mm pair uses 600 mm leaf modules instead of 450 mm modules. The wider leaves occupy more room while folding, and the compatible track and pivot package follows that width. Height and nominal thickness remain 2040 mm and 35 mm.

What should accompany the opening dimensions?

Include the floor datum, jamb and casing details, approach side and preferred parking jamb. Add nearby furniture or equipment that shares the leaf-fold space, along with the selected pull and hinge finish.
