1500 mm Mantel and 1000 mm Opening
The main configuration is 1500 mm wide at the cap, 1200 mm high overall and 200 mm deep at the mantel. Its clear decorative opening is 1000 W × 900 H mm.
Precast Concrete Fireplace Surround with a Stepped Mantel
The surround is made of precast cement and mineral-aggregate pieces with a pale, fine-textured finish, and the straight legs, header and cap each keep their own piece reference and joint position.
The legs and header use a 20 mm nominal hollow-shell section. Their reinforcing, fixing inserts and supporting connections are detailed against each component and the actual wall construction.
A 100 mm-high stepped cap projects over the header, with a 200 mm overall depth. The main 1500 mm cap overhangs the 1300 mm-wide body by 100 mm at each side.

The main configuration is 1500 mm wide at the cap, 1200 mm high overall and 200 mm deep at the mantel. Its clear decorative opening is 1000 W × 900 H mm.
The compact configuration reduces the mantel width to 1300 mm and opening width to 800 mm. It retains the 900 mm opening height, 150 mm leg fronts and 1200 mm overall height.
The larger version widens the cap to 1700 mm around a 1200 mm opening. The header/cap heights and the 100 mm side overhang retain the same stepped profile.
| Component material | Cement/mineral-aggregate precast with fine-textured pale finish |
|---|---|
| Mantel and opening width | 1500 mm mantel · 1000 × 900 mm opening · 1200 mm overall height |
| Overall height and cap depth | 1200 mm high; 200 mm mantel depth |
| Opening height and leg fronts | 900 mm clear opening height; 150 mm leg front width |
| Header and cap heights | 200 mm header + 100 mm-high stepped mantel |
| Hollow section | 20 mm nominal shell; reinforcement and fixing inserts on component drawing |
| Main body geometry | 1300 mm body width; 100 mm mantel overhang at each side; 120 mm body depth |
| Supply unit | Matched pair of legs, header and stepped cap with scheduled anchors and piece references |
The appliance reference sets its required clearances, lining, ventilation and any hearth construction. Surround opening, returns and finished edge positions are coordinated with those current fireplace requirements.
The shop drawing identifies reinforcing and fixing details, wall backing, bearing points and the installation sequence. Component joints and anchor access follow the actual precast geometry.
The room section fixes the finished floor, surrounding wall face and mantel projection. Hearth, slips and any additional infill pieces receive their own dimensions and order lines.
Quote 1300/800, 1500/1000 or 1700/1200 mm mantel/opening widths. Keep the 1200 mm overall height and 900 mm opening height with each room or fireplace reference.
List the two legs, header and stepped cap with their shell sections, joints and finish sample. Reinforcing and fixing inserts stay on the individual component schedule.
Itemize anchors, backing, bearing details and appliance coordination, with hearth and infill pieces, wall preparation and site installation assigned and counted piece by piece.
Protect cap corners and component edges, and label the matched surround set. Actual piece weights, packing orientation, unloading access and destination follow the delivery schedule.
The set comprises two straight legs, a rectangular header and a stepped mantel cap. The cement/mineral-aggregate pieces retain individual joint, fixing and finish references.
Choose 1300/800, 1500/1000 or 1700/1200 mm mantel/opening widths. All retain 1200 mm overall height and 900 mm clear decorative opening height.
The 900 mm-high opening sits below a 200 mm header and a 100 mm-high stepped mantel. Those three vertical dimensions total 1200 mm.
The selected precast shell is nominally 20 mm thick. Reinforcing, fixing inserts and wall-support details are specified for the actual component sizes and installation.
The opening and wall detail use the actual appliance reference and its clearance, lining, ventilation and hearth requirements. Returns, support and any infill pieces are coordinated on the same fireplace drawing.
Send the mantel and opening width, appliance reference, room elevation and floor and wall sections, plus finish sample, fixing and support needs, hearth and infill pieces, installation, handling and destination.
