Drawer-mounted folding ironing board
The ironing board folds into the upper drawer space of a laundry base cabinet. Opening the front extends the support assembly, and the board unfolds into its working position: 950 mm long and 300 mm wide. The matched carriage carries the whole board with no floor leg, and the board slides back into the cabinet after use.
The selected fitting is Hafele Ironfix, reference 568.60.710. Its complete assembly includes cabinet rails, the extending support system, folding board, cover and fixing parts. The fitting instructions center and adjust the fitting within the cabinet opening. The dedicated rail and support package is retained as one system.
The selected cabinet has a 500 mm outside width and two 18 mm plywood sides, leaving 464 mm clear inside. Its 600 mm outside depth reserves 550 mm clear depth for the fitting. Closed lower storage remains below the ironing-board zone, with a supported 6 mm back kept clear of the mechanism. Cabinet height follows the room’s worktop and the accepted fitting layout.
Warm-white melamine and oak veneer are two front choices on the same plywood cabinet. Both keep an 18 mm upper fascia, the clear opening and the complete ironing-board fitting, and edge finish, exposed ends, grain direction and pulls are scheduled with the lower storage fronts.
The selected accessory uses powder-coated white steel fittings and a white-and-gray striped cotton board cover. The cover fits over the board after the mechanism is installed and adjusted. Replacement covers follow the exact accessory reference and size.
The selected upper front is 18 mm thick. Its height, attachment brackets and reveal follow the worktop thickness and mounting layout. Beneath the selected 20 mm finished worktop, the cabinet top panel uses 18 mm plywood, within the fitting section drawing’s 19 mm condition. The front and board are adjusted together so the closed fascia and deployed surface clear the worktop and neighboring fronts.

The fitting’s specified inside width range is 362–500 mm, which includes the selected 464 mm opening. The selected 550 mm clear depth exceeds the 500 mm minimum in the primary mounting instructions. Rear fixings, a back panel or storage fittings do not intrude into that clear space. The actual rail position follows the fitting installation diagram.
The 950 × 300 mm dimensions describe the unfolded board surface. The room layout includes the fully extended carriage, unfolded nose, front, user position and a route around the board. The accepted assembly drawing records those dimensions for the actual installation.
Installed board height follows the cabinet, worktop thickness and the rail and support settings.
