Built-In Wardrobes, Dressing Top & Drawer Pedestal

Side Wardrobes for Short & Long Hanging

Two 900 mm-wide wardrobes frame the dressing niche. The left cabinet has two hanging levels for shorter garments; the right has a single hanging zone for longer clothing. Separate upper cupboards add closed storage above the main wardrobe doors. The rail positions and shelf divisions are set out with the garment lengths in the order drawings.

Dressing Top with Its Own Supports

The 1200 mm dressing bay has a 300 mm drawer pedestal on the left and an 18 mm support panel on the right. A 36 mm oak-veneer top bears on those supports instead of hanging from the wardrobe backs. At the selected 750 mm top height, the opening below is 882 mm wide and 714 mm high, without a drawer crossing the knee space.

Three Dressing Drawers & Cabinet Hardware

Three drawers keep smaller dressing items beside the seated position. The selected drawer build uses 12 mm plywood sides and backs with supported 6 mm bottoms; the cabinet cases and shelves use 18 mm plywood. Concealed hinges serve the wardrobe doors, while full-extension runners make the dressing drawers accessible from the front.

Warm-White Wardrobe Fronts & Oak Dressing Surfaces

Warm-White Lacquer Wardrobe Fronts

Matte warm-white lacquer covers the wardrobe fronts, drawer faces and scheduled exposed end panels. Both wardrobe banks share one color reference so the dressing bay reads as one fitted run, and scribe fillers and plinth returns follow the same finish.

Oak-Veneer Dressing Top & Niche Surround

Natural oak veneer marks out the work surface and the open dressing niche. The 36 mm top is formed from two 18 mm plywood layers, with face and edge treatment in the finish schedule, and grain direction and matching between adjoining pieces are settled with the veneer sample.

White Cabinet Interiors & Finished Edges

White-faced interiors keep the hanging compartments and drawer pedestal light inside. Their finish is separate from the oak-veneer surface and lacquer fronts. Exposed plywood edges receive the scheduled edge finish, including the lower edge of the dressing top and the support panel beside the knee opening.

Dressing Vanity Fit, Door Swings & Mirror Position

Seated Dressing Space & Stool Position

The 882 × 714 mm knee opening belongs to this cabinet layout; it is not the overall width of the dressing bay. A stool must fit both that opening and the selected sitting height below the 750 mm top. The room layout also needs space to pull the stool back without blocking the wardrobe fronts.

Wardrobe Door Swings & Drawer Access

Each 900 mm wardrobe has two hinged lower door leaves, keeping the opening paths either side of the dressing niche, and upper doors of its own. Wall returns, adjacent furniture and projecting pulls affect those paths, while the pedestal drawers need a clear route past the movable stool.

Fixed Mirror, Wall Support & Optional Lighting

A separate fixed mirror can sit above the dressing surface; the illustrated arrangement uses a 900 × 1050 mm rectangle. Its wall fixing is independent of the thin cabinet back. Mirror supply, task lighting and electrical work are separate items, with fixture locations coordinated before the cabinetry is fitted.

Dressing Vanity Cabinet Cost & Supply

Wardrobe Banks & Dressing-Bay Quantities

The cabinet package comprises two full-height wardrobe banks and one supported dressing bay. Hanging rails, upper cupboards, three drawers and the 36 mm top form the selected layout. Changing the number of wardrobe divisions or replacing hanging space with drawers changes the cabinet and fitting quantities.

Lacquer, Oak Veneer & Finishing Pieces

The price follows the warm-white and oak finish allocation, including exposed ends, niche panels, top edges and plinth returns, with extra scribe fillers sized for the room. A different veneer, lacquer color or fully oak-faced wardrobe is priced as a material and finishing change.

Drawer Runners, Hinges & Interior Fittings

The hardware schedule lists the door hinges, drawer runners, pulls and hanging rails for this run. Jewelry dividers, removable trays and extra internal drawers are optional, itemized by compartment and quantity alongside the three-drawer dressing pedestal.

Mirror, Stool, Packing & Local Fitting

The fixed mirror, movable stool and decorative accessories are separate from cabinet supply. Lighting, wiring, wall preparation and local fixing work also have separate responsibilities. Packing and freight depend on the shipping format and destination; duties, unloading and on-site installation are outside the cabinet subtotal. Tell us the rooms and quantities and we will put this on one quote with everything else you are ordering, and show you what fits in a container.

Built-In Dressing Vanity FAQs

Does this dressing vanity include both side wardrobes?

Yes. The selected cabinet arrangement includes a 900 mm wardrobe on each side of the 1200 mm dressing bay. One side has two hanging levels and the other a long-hanging zone, with separate upper storage cupboards. Rail positions and internal divisions are adjusted in the order drawings for the clothing being stored.

Is the dressing top suspended between the wardrobes?

No. The top rests on a 300 mm drawer pedestal and a separate 18 mm end support panel. Its selected build is two 18 mm plywood layers with an oak-veneer finish. The wardrobe backs are not used as the sole support for the dressing surface.

How much knee room is below the vanity top?

This layout leaves 882 mm clear width and 714 mm clear height below a 750 mm-high top. There is no shallow drawer across that opening. These are the selected cabinet dimensions; the stool and the seated user still need to suit that height and the available space in front.

Are the mirror, stool and dressing lights included?

They are separate items. The illustrated fixed mirror is 900 × 1050 mm and the stool is movable. Mirror fixing, task lights, power supplies and electrical work are listed outside the cabinet package, and the mirror is a plain fixed panel.

Can the wardrobe fronts and dressing surface have different finishes?

Yes. This run pairs warm-white lacquer fronts with an oak-veneer top and niche surround, carried through the end panels, top edges, plinth returns and fillers. Another veneer or lacquer color is scheduled as a material change, with the sample setting shade, grain and sheen.

What room measurements are needed for a fitted dressing vanity?

The order needs the wall width and height, floor and ceiling conditions, wall returns, skirting, doorways and any outlets or switches around the run. The 3000 mm cabinet width is before additional room-fit fillers. Local installation also needs suitable anchoring for the tall cabinets and a separate fixing arrangement for the mirror.
