Stone-Filled Welded-Wire Gabion Fence Baskets

Welded galvanized-steel baskets form a stone-filled fence module with a hinged lid and a central diaphragm. Compare empty baskets, a basket with selected gray granite infill and a linked two-basket package, using a 1000 × 300 × 1000 mm module and a separate support and groundwork schedule.

Welded Wire Cage, Center Diaphragm and Granite Infill

Galvanized Welded-Steel Mesh

The selected cage uses 4 mm-diameter galvanized welded-steel wire at 50 × 100 mm center pitches. Mesh panels form the front, back, ends and base. Their wire, weld, edge and coating requirements are recorded with the complete basket component schedule.

Hinged Lid and Center Diaphragm

A hinged mesh lid closes the basket top. One internal diaphragm is positioned 500 mm across the 1000 mm width, dividing the module into two compartments. Edge ties and joint connectors close the cage and connect the selected modules in the fence run.

Selected Gray Granite Infill

The filled package uses angular gray granite pieces with a selected nominal 100–150 mm size range. The stone reference establishes color, shape and size distribution. Placement and face arrangement are coordinated with the mesh and the two basket compartments.

Empty, Stone-Filled and Linked Basket Packages

Stone-filled welded wire basket with comparison of empty, single filled and linked-pair component packages.

Empty Basket and Connectors

The empty package contains one 1000 × 300 × 1000 mm cage with its lid, diaphragm, ties and connectors. It provides a defined basket component set for a stone supply and site placement arrangement scheduled on their own lines.

One Basket with Stone

The default filled package adds selected gray granite infill to the single-basket component set. The quotation identifies the delivered stone quantity and packing unit as their own lines next to the cage, using the selected stone reference for the outer face.

Two Linked Baskets with Stone

This package contains two matching baskets, their joining connectors and selected infill for both modules. The fence layout establishes the joint and alignment. Each basket retains its own center diaphragm and lid closure.

Fence Alignment, Ground Support and Stone Placement

1000 × 300 × 1000 mm Module

The basket measures 1000 mm wide, 300 mm deep and 1000 mm high. Its gross envelope is 0.30 m³. The stone takeoff accounts for the internal wire and diaphragm arrangement, stone packing and the specified delivery quantity.

Groundwork and Supporting Structure

Set the fence line, finished levels and basket support on the site layout. Ground bearing, foundations, restraint and connections to the supporting construction receive a separate project design and installation schedule. Basket and stone supply are identified alongside that work.

Lid Access and Filling Sequence

Provide access to the lid and both internal compartments during stone placement. Coordinate face selection, internal filling and closure with the ties and connectors. The linked-basket layout records corners, ends and adjacent site elements before quantities are finalized.

Mesh Basket Components

List the selected number of welded mesh cages with their hinged lids and center diaphragms. The schedule identifies wire diameter, mesh center pitch, panel edges and the selected galvanized finish requirements.

Ties and Joint Connectors

Include basket-closing ties and the connectors for linked modules. The fence layout identifies straight joints, ends and any project-specific junction components as separate quantities.

Selected Granite Infill

For the filled packages, list the selected gray granite reference, nominal piece range and actual supply quantity. Stone packing, delivery unit and placement work retain distinct entries on the quotation.

Groundwork, Handling and Room for Access

Identify the support and groundwork package, site handling route and filling access with the installation plan. Delivery sequencing keeps basket components, connectors and stone allocations aligned with the fence sections.

Welded-Wire Gabion Fence Basket Questions

What are the selected basket dimensions?

Each module is 1000 mm wide, 300 mm deep and 1000 mm high. The center diaphragm is located 500 mm across the width and divides the basket into two compartments.

How do the three supply packages differ?

The empty package supplies the cage, lid, diaphragm, ties and connectors. The single filled package adds selected gray granite infill. The linked package provides two matching baskets with joining components and stone for both modules.

What does the 0.30 m³ value describe?

It is the gross external envelope of one 1000 × 300 × 1000 mm basket. The stone quantity is scheduled on its own line, using the internal basket arrangement, chosen stone size distribution and delivery unit.

Which wire and infill are selected?

The cage uses 4 mm-diameter galvanized welded-steel wire at 50 × 100 mm center pitches. The selected infill is angular gray granite with a nominal 100–150 mm piece range and a retained stone appearance reference.

What site information establishes the support package?

Provide the fence alignment, finished ground levels, substrate and the intended supporting structure. The project schedule identifies foundations, bearing, restraint, connection details and the installation work assigned to that package.

What is included for a linked fence run?

List the required number of modules, stone allocations and joining connectors. Record straight joints, corners, ends, ground levels and lid access on the fence layout, then align the packing and delivery sequence with those sections.
