Five-drawer flat-file cabinet
The low cabinet has five drawers for sheets stored flat. Each selected interior is 900 mm wide, 650 mm deep and 75 mm clear high. The drawer is wider than an 841 mm A1 sheet and deeper than its 594 mm short side, so the paper does not need to be folded or rolled.
The selected tray uses 12 mm plywood sides and backs with a supported 6 mm bottom. Under-bottom cross supports are included in the drawer design so the broad paper area is not treated as an unsupported 6 mm panel. Support placement and the runner assembly are matched in the order drawings.
The selected outside size is 1100 ×800 ×780 mm. An 18 mm plywood case and a floor-bearing plinth surround the drawer assembly. The flat top is part of that low storage cabinet; no desk return, castors or vertical drawing rack is included.
Matte warm-gray lacquer covers the five wide fronts and the scheduled exposed top and sides. Simple long pulls keep the front layout consistent. A different color is a finish allocation within the same flat-file configuration.
The drawer interiors have the selected smooth finish and completed edges at the sheet opening. Those surfaces are specified with the paper tray, independent of the exterior lacquer.
Full-extension runners are specified for the actual wide drawer box and intended contents. The supported bottom and runner mounting are treated together.
