Cabinet Plans, Elevations & Construction Details

We develop the drawing set around the products in your design. Plans establish the arrangement, elevations set out the finished faces, and sections resolve the depth and construction. Item references connect those views to the cabinet or furniture schedule.

Custom Cabinetry & Hotel Furniture Drawings

Kitchens, Wardrobes & Built-Ins

Cabinet runs, islands, wardrobes, vanities and media units each need different internal layouts and surrounding clearances. The drawings address doors and drawers as moving components, with the fillers, end panels and countertops that complete the installation.

Kitchen Cabinets

Guest Room & Contract Furniture

Headboards, bedside units, desks and other casegoods are developed by furniture item and room type. The drawings bring together overall dimensions, component connections, exposed finishes and access around the piece. Repeated room types can share a furniture reference, with locations and quantities identified in the schedule.

Panel, Finish & Hardware Details in the Drawing Set

A cabinet front, exposed side panel and interior shelf can use different material or finish references. We develop those references with the part they apply to, along with the hinges, slides, handles and other selected hardware.

Panel & Finish References

The drawing distinguishes the door face, cabinet box, exposed panels and interior parts. Finish codes link each finished surface to the selected material and sample reference.

Hinges, Slides & Clearances

A hardware change can affect drilling, drawer depth or the space behind a front. The product details follow the selected model’s installation information, including its drilling pattern and required clearances.

Connections & Mounting Details

Furniture joints, wall-mounted units and adjoining panels need details suited to the selected construction. Your local team supplies wall and support information for the mounting design.

Appliance Openings, Countertops & Site Dimensions

We coordinate appliance openings with the selected model’s installation information. Cabinet layouts carry the resulting clearances, ventilation and access requirements. Your local team provides final site measurements and service locations for the drawing work.

Shop Drawing Review & Production Handoff

The drawing review resolves the product details before the related order is released for manufacture. Dimensions, finishes, hardware and equipment references need to describe the same item across the drawing set and supply list.

  1. Issue the Drawing Set for Review

The review set identifies its sheets, item references and revision, so comments can be attached to the product and view they affect.

  2. Coordinate the Marked Changes

A revised appliance opening may also affect an elevation, countertop or adjoining cabinet. The revised set carries the change across the related views and product details.

  3. Identify the Approved Issue

For products supplied through NOVARMIA, the production handoff uses the drawing issue and product list approved for that order. A later change returns to review, with its effect on the order assessed before additional work proceeds.

A design-only commission ends with the drawing files listed in the proposal. Manufacturing by another supplier follows that supplier’s separate production and release requirements.

Shop Drawings: Files & Fees

The fee follows the number of distinct items, the detail required and how much of the design is already settled. A repeated cabinet type involves different work from several pieces with different construction, finishes and equipment interfaces.

Existing Design & Product Information
Architectural plans, elevations, a furniture schedule and selected equipment provide the starting point. Developing a missing room layout or changing the design direction adds work beyond documenting a settled design.
PDF Review Sets & Editable CAD
PDF drawing sets and editable CAD files are available. Our proposal identifies the sheets, detail level and file formats included; rendered images can be added when the brief calls for them.
Included Revisions & Additional Work
Our proposal states the included review rounds. Extra rounds and changes outside the first brief are quoted on their own, with any fee and schedule impact approved before work starts. Corrections to errors in our work do not use your revision allowance.

Cabinet & Furniture Shop Drawing Questions

Can you prepare shop drawings from my existing design?

Yes. We work from architectural plans, interior elevations, furniture schedules and dimensioned references. The drawing brief identifies the cabinet or furniture items to develop, along with any design work still needed.

Who provides the final site dimensions?

Your local project team provides and verifies site measurements, finished levels, opening sizes and installation conditions. Those dimensions are used with the design and product information. Missing or changed site information needs to be resolved before the affected custom product is released for manufacture.

Can I receive PDF drawings and editable CAD files?

Yes. PDF review sets and editable CAD files are available. Our proposal lists the sheets, detail level and files included in the handoff. Rendered views can be added when requested.

Can the drawings include my chosen appliances and hardware?

Yes. The coordination uses the actual appliance or hardware model and its installation information. Those references affect openings, clearances, ventilation, drilling and access. Plumbing and electrical connections remain with the qualified local trades.

What happens if I change a drawing after approval?

We review the change with its affected drawings and product details. Added work outside the agreed brief is quoted before it starts. For an order already in production, the supply team assesses feasibility, price and schedule before agreeing a change.

Do your shop drawings include engineering stamps or permit approval?

No. This service develops cabinet and furniture product details. Structural engineering, building-code review and permit documents remain with qualified professionals in the project’s location. Product drawings support that coordination without replacing those responsibilities.
