Calacatta Gold-Style Quartz Slabs, Pattern & Material

Engineered Quartz with a Light Gold-Gray Pattern

This is an engineered quartz surface series, made to look like Calacatta marble: a light base with warm gray-gold veining for counters, islands and matching interior surfaces. The chosen batch and finish set the actual look, and vein position varies from slab to slab, so a small sample shows only part of the pattern.

Quartz Slab Format & Fabrication Yield

The series reference is 3200 × 1600 mm, with larger slabs up to about 3500 × 2000 mm in selected series and confirmed batches. Overall slab size is recorded apart from the largest usable finished piece, since trimming, cutouts, vein direction and seams all affect cutting yield.

Slab Material & Cut-to-Size Quartz Pieces

A full slab order and a fabricated countertop package are two different offers. The slab order names material, format, thickness, finish and quantity, while cut-to-size pieces add dimensions, edge profiles, holes, sink or cooktop cutouts and labels, each scheduled and priced.

Engineered Quartz Thicknesses, Polished & Satin Finishes

Engineered-quartz order schedule for 15/20/30 mm references, polished or satin surface, batch appearance and separate fabrication

15, 20 & 30 mm Quartz Thickness References

The series lists 15, 20 and 30 mm thicknesses. The actual thickness and available slab format are confirmed together for the selected batch. A mitered edge can create a thicker-looking front without making the whole slab that thickness. Its pieces, adhesive joint and support arrangement are separate fabrication details.

Polished & Satin Quartz Surface Choices

Polished is the featured finish, with satin also offered. The accepted surface reference establishes sheen and how the pattern reads under the project lighting. Finish selection remains attached to the chosen material and batch; an image viewed on a screen is not a substitute for that physical surface reference.

Vein Direction, Seams & Exposed Quartz Edges

The cutting layout assigns the selected vein direction to each finished piece and shows where seams occur. An island top, backsplash and waterfall end draw from different areas of the slab. Any requested pattern pairing is reviewed against the actual material layout.

Quartz Slab Cutting Layout, Seams & Finished-Piece Fit

Nominal Slab Area & Usable Quartz Pieces

A 3200 × 1600 mm slab has a nominal area of 5.12 m², which is more than the finished countertop it yields. Trim, defects left out of the layout, cutouts and pattern allocation reduce usable area, and the cutting plan sets how many slabs the project needs.

Island Tops, Waterfall Ends & Seam Positions

Long pieces are laid out with their direction, cutouts and support requirements before seams are finalized. Waterfall ends and backsplashes are separate cut pieces, even where the pattern is coordinated visually. The actual slab format and layout determine whether a requested run can be fabricated in one piece.

Quartz Support, Handling & Heat Exposure

Cabinet and substrate support follow the actual piece sizes, thickness and openings. Edge build-ups and overhangs need their own detail instead of an assumed universal span. Hot cookware is kept off the quartz with a suitable trivet. Lifting, fabrication and site work use the selected material instructions and the responsible fabricator’s methods.

Engineered Quartz Slab Cost Factors

Quartz Batch, Slab Format & Material Quantity

Our quote names the series and batch, thickness, finish and slab count, with quantity taken from the approved piece layout instead of the room's net surface area.

Polished or Satin Surface & Vein Allocation

The selected surface and pattern direction are recorded with the material. A tightly controlled vein layout can use slabs differently from a layout that allows freer orientation. Any specific pairing or appearance requirement belongs in the agreed cutting schedule.

Quartz Edges, Cutouts & Fabrication

Finished edges, mitered build-ups, holes and appliance openings are fabrication operations, and the quote shows slab supply and fabricated pieces apart. Sink bowls, cooktops, cabinets and installation materials are listed where required.

Slab Packing, Freight & Installation

Slabs and fabricated pieces are protected to suit their size and finished edges, and freight, unloading and access depend on destination and handling. Site templating, support preparation, fitting and final joints are assigned in the order. Tell us the rooms and quantities and we will put this on one quote with everything else you are ordering, and show you what fits in a container.

Calacatta Gold-Style Engineered Quartz Slab FAQs

Is Calacatta gold-style quartz a natural marble slab?

No. This offer is engineered quartz with a light base and gold-gray veining. Calacatta marble and quartzite are different natural materials. Their names, maintenance requirements or material performance should not be transferred to this quartz series.

What slab sizes are listed for this engineered quartz series?

The standard reference is 3200 × 1600 mm. Selected series may have jumbo formats up to approximately 3500 × 2000 mm, subject to the confirmed batch. The order identifies the actual available format and the usable size for the cutting layout.

Can I order 15, 20 or 30 mm quartz slabs?

Yes. Those three thicknesses are series references, confirmed together with batch, finish and slab size. A thicker-looking mitered front edge is a fabricated detail built up from the slab.

Does one 3200 × 1600 mm slab provide 5.12 m² of finished countertop?

It has 5.12 m² of nominal rectangular area. Finished yield depends on trimming, piece shapes, cutouts, seam choices and vein direction. The actual cutting layout determines the usable pieces and total slab count.

Will the quartz veins continue perfectly over a waterfall edge?

No. A pattern relationship can be planned from the selected slabs and cutting direction. The layout shows the actual pieces, seam positions and intended pairing before fabrication.

Does a quartz slab quotation include sink cutouts and installation?

Only the listed items are included. Slab material, cut-to-size fabrication, finished edges, cutouts, freight and installation are each listed, and sink and cooktop templates and support details are needed when finished pieces are part of the order.
