Glazed Porcelain Waterline Faces and Shaped Corners

Gloss Blue Glazed Porcelain Face

The waterline face is dark blue glazed porcelain with a gloss surface, and its color and sheen are approved as a range that includes the shaped pieces as well as a flat tile.

150 × 75 × 8 mm Flat Tile

The standard field piece is 150 mm wide, 75 mm high and 8 mm thick and forms the straight waterline course, with 3 mm joints added to the face dimensions.

Matching Ceramic Corner Pieces

Selected concave inside and convex outside corner pieces continue the blue glazed face around changes in direction. Each has nominal 75 mm plan legs and 75 mm height with a selected 20 mm curved-face radius; profile and joint geometry are coordinated as shaped components.

Flat Field Tile for Straight Runs

The rectangular flat tile covers the straight pool-wall course. Its 150 × 75 mm face gives a 153 × 78 mm repeating module with the selected 3 mm joints, without turning the module area into net ceramic face coverage.

Concave Inside-Corner Piece

The inside profile has a shaped concave face for the internal corner, whose nominal legs and curved transition must meet the adjoining flat course, so it is counted by piece and corner reference.

Convex Outside-Corner Piece

The outside profile has a shaped convex glazed face for an outward turn. Keep its orientation and return lengths on the same waterline schedule as the adjacent flat tiles and inside corners.

Waterline Courses, Corners and Pool Substrate Interfaces

Course Height and Repeating Joints

Set the finished waterline position and course count on the pool elevation. The selected 75 mm tile height and 3 mm joints are separate from the water level, wall height and any movement-joint layout.

Corners, Returns and Cut Pieces

Mark inside corners, outside corners, steps, returns and end cuts by location. Shaped pieces must line up with the flat course and the substrate radius, giving a clean curved corner.

Waterproofing, Adhesive and Grout

Coordinate the actual pool substrate, waterproofing, adhesive bed, grout and movement joints as an immersion assembly.

Pool Waterline Tile Quote and Profile Quantities

Straight Tiles and Corner Counts

Separate flat-tile quantities from concave and convex shaped pieces. Include course lengths, course count, joint requirement and cut allowance so a flat-area price does not conceal missing corner profiles.

Glaze Range and Profile Samples

Keep the blue color, sheen, flat edge and shaped-corner references together. The approved range records variation and profile fit, and any immersion or chemical documents come with the supplied material.

Pool Assembly Materials and Site Work

List adhesive, grout, waterproofing, movement joints and installation apart from the porcelain pieces, and give radius preparation or special substrate work its own responsibility and quantity line.

Profile Labels, Packing and Delivery

Label flat and shaped pieces by profile and pool location, with spare corner counts shown. Protective packing, destination, handling access and staged deliveries follow the tile schedule.

Porcelain Waterline Pool Tile Questions

Are the corner pieces just two flat tiles?

The corners are shaped ceramic pieces with concave or convex glazed faces, each with nominal 75 mm legs, 75 mm height and an R 20 curved face, counted apart from the flat 150 × 75 mm tiles.

What changes between the three options?

The flat field tile covers straight courses, the concave piece follows an inside turn and the convex piece an outside turn, all in the same gloss blue porcelain finish.

Do the 153 × 78 mm module dimensions describe the tile face?

No. The flat ceramic face is 150 × 75 mm. The 153 × 78 mm repeating module includes a 3 mm joint allocation in each direction, so net tile face and installed coverage are separate quantities.

Can the same tile be used as a slip-rated pool floor?

This configuration is a gloss-glazed waterline component. A pool-floor finish requires its own suitable material, assembly and documented performance requirements.

Are the waterline tiles suitable for chlorinated and freezing conditions?

Porcelain absorbs very little water, which suits waterlines in chlorinated pools and cold climates. We supply the water-absorption, chemical-resistance and frost test reports for the batch with the shipment.

What is needed for a waterline tile quotation?

Send pool elevations, course count, straight lengths, inside and outside corner locations, cut details and joints, plus finish and profile sample requirements, destination, spares and the waterproofing, adhesive, grout and installation assigned to your installer.
