Upholstered Seat Lid and Oak-Veneered Storage Body
Oak-Veneered Plywood Body
The storage body uses 18 mm oak-veneered plywood with 100 mm solid-wood legs. The complete bench measures 1500 W × 650 D × 800 H mm, with vent slots along the front of the box.
80 mm Upholstered Seat-Lid Build
The lid combines 18 mm plywood, 60 mm polyurethane foam and a 2 mm cover allowance. Warm-gray polyester covers the seat and fixed back; the closed, unloaded seat top sits 450 mm above the floor.
Three Hinges and Two Hold-Open Stays
Three rear hinges guide the lid and two matched stays support the open position. The hinge/stay geometry and opening angle are coordinated with the finished lid, fixed back and access route.

Two Divided Storage Bays
An 18 mm center divider divides the clear width into two 691 mm bays. Each bay retains the configured 500 mm depth and 200 mm height.
Two Removable Baskets
Two polyester baskets each measure 560 W × 420 D × 180 H mm. They lift out individually while the remaining clear box space allows access around the baskets.

Seat Height, Lid Movement and Storage Access
Coordinate the Closed Seat Height
The storage rim is 370 mm above the floor. Adding the 80 mm seat-lid build places the unloaded top at 450 mm; the overall fixed-back height remains 800 mm.
Keep the Lid and Hand Path Clear
The room layout allows the seat lid to move past nearby furniture and the fixed back. The matched hold-open stays, hand access and closing path form one hardware coordination detail.
