Hotel guestroom with an upholstered headboard, bedside tables, wall lamps, an oak wardrobe, window desk and luggage bench

Hotel Interior Design

Plan guestrooms, reception and shared spaces around your hotel’s room types, operating brief and interior budget. We develop furniture layouts, finish direction and rendered views for design review, with design-only or design-and-procurement options.

Hotel Layouts, Rendered Views & Finish Selections

We develop the hotel interior around the room types and public spaces included in your brief. Layouts establish where furniture and interior features sit; selected views show their visual relationship; furniture and finish references carry those decisions into the next stage of product selection.

Design componentContent prepared for review
Interior LayoutsFurniture positions, bed orientation, storage, reception and seating arrangements, with guest movement considered around the planned furnishings.
Rendered ViewsThe agreed room and public-space views showing furniture proportions, major finishes, headboards, feature walls and decorative lighting direction.
Furniture & Finish ReferencesProposed furniture types, material and color references, finish locations and the selections still needing a physical sample or product decision.
Room Type VariationsThe agreed differences between typical rooms, twin or king layouts, suites and other included variants, connected to the relevant room plans.

Guestroom & Public-Space Design

Guestrooms, Suites & Repeat Room Types

We arrange beds, bedside tables, desks, wardrobes, luggage furniture and TV walls around the supplied room plan. A typical room establishes the interior direction; included variants account for different bed arrangements, room proportions and furniture needs. Bathroom vanity and finish selections can be coordinated with the guestroom palette where included.

Cabinet & Furniture Shop Drawings

Reception, Lobby Seating & Shared Spaces

Reception counters, waiting seats, lounge groups and feature walls are planned around arrival, check-in and movement between the spaces in your brief. Selected dining, meeting or corridor areas can extend the same furniture and finish direction. The commission identifies each included area instead of treating every hotel facility as part of one room design.

Hospitality FF&E Procurement

Hotel Furniture, Finishes & Room Type Variations

We develop a consistent interior direction while keeping the details of each room type clear. Furniture size, surface relationships and guest-facing finishes are reviewed together so that a change to one item can be considered against the rest of the room.

Beds, Storage & Guestroom Furniture

Headboards, bedsides, desks, wardrobes and luggage furniture are placed against the actual room geometry and intended bed configuration. Furniture depth, door or drawer movement and neighboring items are considered in the layout. Custom product dimensions and construction details move into a separate shop-drawing review before manufacture.

Reception Counters, Feature Walls & Surfaces

We coordinate the counter form, wall treatment, flooring and adjoining seating in the selected public spaces. Material, color, pattern scale and edge relationships establish the finish direction. Physical samples and supplier product information support the later selection; a rendered stone pattern or wood tone does not approve a particular batch.

Typical Rooms, Upgrades & Product Alternatives

The design identifies which furniture and finishes repeat and where a suite or other room variant differs. Alternatives can be reviewed for their effect on the layout, appearance and product budget. The owner’s required durability, cleaning and destination criteria become product-selection inputs, supported by the available supplier information.

Room Plans, Hotel Brief & Operator Requirements

We use the room schedule and existing project documents to establish the design workload and the decisions each area needs. Room quantities do not substitute for the number of distinct room layouts: one repeated type and several different types require different design work.

Project inputInformation usedDesign decision
Room Plans & TypesCurrent architectural plans, dimensions, ceiling heights, windows, doors, fixed services and the room-type schedule.Furniture fit, included layout variants, fixed constraints and questions requiring local measurements or professional review.
Hotel & Operator BriefGuest profile, intended room use, bed configurations, reception needs, operator or brand documents and the buyer’s approval contacts.Space priorities, furniture functions, interior direction and the requirements to submit for the owner’s or operator’s review.
Budget & Retained ItemsInterior or furniture budget, existing items to keep, preferred materials and product references already selected.Furniture and finish options, the extent of replacement and alternatives to compare during design development.
Local Project InformationRequirements and comments from the local architect, engineers and installation team, plus the current design and purchasing milestones.Interior revisions, unresolved interfaces and the information needed before detailed product orders or local work proceed.

Hotel Design Development & Owner Review

The commission progresses from the agreed hotel brief to interior layouts and selected visual details. Review follows the included room types and areas, with one consolidated set of owner comments at each agreed stage.

  1. Set the Areas, Room Types & Design Direction

We review the plans, room-type schedule, hotel brief and budget. Our proposal names the rooms and public spaces to design, the included views and files, and the review allowance. Unavailable site information and any existing items to retain are identified before the layout work begins.

  2. Develop Layouts, Furniture & Finish Options

We develop furniture arrangements and the selected interior views, then refine the finishes and furniture direction against consolidated feedback. Typical-room changes are checked against the included variants. Operator comments and local professional requirements are brought into the affected design decisions.

  3. Confirm the Design & Hand Off Product Details

The owner confirms the accepted interior direction and outstanding product selections. We issue the files included in the commission. Where procurement follows, the purchasing team uses the accepted room plans and furniture and finish references to develop itemized product selections, samples and custom drawing requirements.

This commission covers interior layouts, furniture and finish design. Your local qualified professionals remain responsible for architectural compliance, accessibility and fire or egress design, structural and MEP engineering, permits and installation. Operator or hotel-brand acceptance is a separate approval; interior design does not confer a star rating or construction approval.

Hotel Design Fees, Files & Revisions

Design can be commissioned on its own or combined with material and furniture procurement. The proposal separates the design work from product purchases and identifies the included areas, room variants, views, file formats and revision allowance.

Areas, Room Variants & Design Detail
The fee reflects the number and complexity of distinct layouts, public-space coverage, existing information and the level of visual and furniture detail requested. A repeated room type is counted apart from a new layout or suite. Site visits, additional surveys and specialist services are included only when expressly offered.
PDF, Rendered Images & Editable CAD
The design proposal can include PDF layouts, rendered images and editable CAD files. It names the drawings, views and formats to be handed over. Interior design files are distinct from supplier shop drawings and locally approved construction documents; product-specific detailing or other file requirements are agreed on their own.
Included Revisions & Brief Changes
Our proposal states the included revision rounds, with consolidated feedback within the first brief. Extra rounds, added rooms or a new design direction are quoted on their own; any fee and timing effect is agreed before that work starts. Corrections to our own errors do not use the customer’s revision allowance.

Hotel Interior Design Questions

Can I commission hotel design without buying the furniture?

Yes. You can commission design alone or combine it with procurement. Our proposal identifies the design deliverables and fees; a furniture or material order has its own itemized selections and commercial terms. No product purchase is assumed simply because design work has begun.

Can one typical guestroom design cover all the rooms?

It can establish the direction for repeated rooms with the same layout and requirements. Twin rooms, different footprints, suites and other variants need to be identified in the room-type schedule. We agree which variants receive their own layout or view instead of assuming that a typical plan fits every room.

Can you work with our hotel operator’s brand standards?

Yes. Provide the current standards, applicable room requirements and review contact with the brief. We use those documents as design inputs and incorporate the agreed comments. The owner or operator retains its approval role; brand acceptance, hotel classification and local statutory approval are not guaranteed by the design commission.

Can you redesign an existing hotel while retaining some furniture?

Yes. Identify the rooms to include and provide current plans, photos, dimensions and the items to retain. We plan the new furniture and finishes around those constraints. Local measurements and information about concealed or changed conditions are needed where they affect the design; demolition and site work remain with the local project team.

Can our local contractor or another supplier use the design files?

The proposal can include PDF, rendered images and editable CAD for the agreed handoff. Intended recipients and any additional file requirements should be identified when commissioning the work. Local professionals and suppliers still need to verify the information and produce the construction or manufacturing documents for their work; file delivery does not imply unrestricted copyright transfer.

Can design and product selection proceed before every room detail is final?

Yes, at the agreed design stage. We identify provisional dimensions, unresolved room variants and selections awaiting operator or local review. Those items can be developed during design, but affected custom products need the required verified information and accepted details before their purchase or manufacturing release.
