Wood, stone, fabric and brushed metal pieces arranged on a material selection table

Material Samples & Mock-Up Approvals

NOVARMIA arranges finish swatches, product components and sample pieces for the products you plan to order. Larger prototypes or mock-up packages are reviewed as separate requests, with preparation, delivery costs and the details to be approved agreed for the project.

Request Sample Options

Finish Swatches, Product Samples & Mock-Ups

We review the product and finish you are considering, then identify the available sample options. The request defines what you need to judge—color, an edge or joint, product proportions or a room arrangement—before preparation and delivery are quoted.

Sample levelDecision it can support
Material Swatch or Color CardGeneral color, sheen, surface texture and material direction. A small swatch does not establish a full slab pattern or finished-product construction.
Component SampleA door, edge profile, panel section or selected hardware item that allows closer review of the relevant finish, joint or product detail.
Full-Size Product SampleThe proportions, finished workmanship and applicable functional details of an identified furniture or product piece, within the agreed sample brief.
Mock-Up PackageA group of selected products or a room arrangement for a defined review. Pieces, location, assembly and site responsibilities are each agreed on their own.

Material Sample Formats

  • Finish swatch

Color, sheen and texture. Compare with adjoining materials.

  • Component sample

Edges, joints and hardware. Review the part that needs a decision.

  • Full-size piece

Proportions and finished details. Review the item at its intended scale.

  • Mock-up

Room layout and product interfaces. Review several selected items together.

Sample Options for Cabinets, Furniture & Surface Materials

Cabinet Doors, Panels & Furniture Finishes

For cabinetry, we review requests for door fronts, panel sections and finish samples around the detail still needing a decision. Furniture requests may call for a fabric swatch, component or full-size piece. Availability, size and any custom preparation are confirmed before the sample is arranged.

Kitchen Cabinets

Stone, Tile & Upholstery Selections

Stone and tile requests identify the material, intended application, finish and approximate sample size. Upholstery requests identify the fabric and the product it will cover. We confirm the available option and any preparation or delivery charge for that request.

Stone & Countertops

Color, Texture & Workmanship Reviews

The approval identifies exactly what has been reviewed: a finish color, surface texture, edge detail or product feature. That decision then has a defined place in the proposed order instead of serving as approval of unrelated parts.

Color, Sheen & Surface Texture

A swatch or finish panel allows review of color, sheen and texture beside the adjoining materials. Where appearance needs a closer check, the sample size and lighting conditions are part of the review arrangement.

Edges, Joints & Product Details

We review requests for components or product pieces where the decision concerns an edge profile, joint, upholstery seam or selected hardware. The requested detail determines the sample needed; approval of that detail applies to the identified part.

Natural Grain & Stone Variation

A stone or wood sample helps select the general material character and finish. When the appearance of a larger surface is part of the design, the selected slabs or larger faces need their own review before that order is finalized.

Sample References, Approvals & Bulk-Order Details

For a sample intended as an order reference, we agree the product, finish and attributes being reviewed. The quotation or drawing references identify where the accepted selection will be used.

Product & Candidate FinishProduct or item reference, material, finish option and the surface or component concerned.Identifies the requested sample and prevents a general color name from standing in for a complete product selection.
Purpose of the ReviewThe color, texture, edge, proportion or functional detail that still needs a decision.Sets the limits of the sample review and whether a swatch, component or larger piece is appropriate.
Decision & Open CommentsThe reviewer, decision date, accepted attributes and any requested changes or open comments.Separates a completed selection from details still requiring a replacement sample or further review.
Affected Order ItemsThe quotation or drawing references and the items using the selected finish or product detail.Defines where the agreed selection applies before those items are ordered or released for the relevant work.

Sample Selection, Approval & Replacement Review

We confirm the requested sample and delivery arrangement, then agree who reviews it and how the decision applies to the order. A replacement finish or component is reviewed against the affected items before the corresponding bulk work proceeds.

  1. Confirm Sample Availability & Charges

We review the product reference, candidate finish and purpose of the sample. Before dispatch, we confirm the available option, dimensions, preparation charges and delivery arrangement.

  2. Review Finish & Product Samples

The agreed reviewer distinguishes the accepted finish or detail from any requested change. A color approval applies to that finish; a joint, dimension or hardware question stays open until it is reviewed on a suitable component or product sample.

  3. Link Sample Approval to the Order

For samples agreed as order references, the accepted finish or detail is connected to the relevant item description and drawings. Comments affecting those items are resolved before their bulk work proceeds. Any retained reference sample and retention period are agreed on their own.

The sample or mock-up proposal identifies who prepares the piece, who reviews it and where the review takes place. Room construction, site labor, freight and sample retention are their own quotation items.

Sample Preparation, Shipping & Mock-Up Costs

Sample charges reflect the material, cutting, finishing or assembly required. We confirm preparation and packaging costs for the selected option, with delivery priced for the actual package and destination.

Material Swatches & Custom Sample Pieces
The option identifies any charge for the material sample, cutting, finishing or assembly. A larger or custom-made sample can require work beyond supplying an existing swatch. Availability and the requested size are part of that discussion.
Packaging, Destination & Delivery
Fragile stone pieces, fabric cards and larger product samples need different packaging. Package size, weight and destination determine the shipping option and cost. We confirm the charge before dispatch.
Replacements, Mock-Ups & Retained Samples
Replacement finishes, additional sample pieces and a mock-up package are scoped according to the requested work. Our proposal identifies preparation, review location, assembly and retention arrangements where applicable. Changes after materials are committed can affect both cost and timing.

GEORGE Material & Product Sample Support

The group’s product businesses support material swatches, color cards, component samples and project-specific prototype or mock-up requests. NOVARMIA connects the request with the products and finishes being considered, then confirms the available sample arrangement.

Material Sample & Mock-Up Questions

Which materials and finishes can I request?

We review requests for material swatches, color cards and selected product or component samples. Send the product reference, candidate finish and the detail you need to judge. We confirm availability, sample size and any preparation work before arranging the request.

Are samples and shipping free?

We confirm any sample charge and the delivery cost before arranging the request. Material preparation, a custom sample piece and shipping are separate cost items. The destination and package size also affect delivery cost.

Can a small sample represent a full slab or finished product?

A small sample can show general color, surface finish and texture. It does not show the full pattern of a stone slab or the construction and proportions of a finished product. Natural stone needs a separate review of the selected slabs; a component or full-size sample is more appropriate for a joint, edge, mounting or functional decision.

How is an approved sample connected to the bulk order?

For an agreed order-reference sample, the review identifies the sample, the item using it and the attributes accepted. The decision is matched to the relevant quotation or drawing. The project arrangement identifies the reviewer, date, open comments and whether a reference sample will be retained.

Can you provide a full-size prototype or a mock-up room?

We review prototype and mock-up requests by project before confirming availability and cost. A prototype concerns an identified piece; a room package may involve several products and site work. Our proposal identifies preparation, assembly, review location, freight and the parties responsible for room construction and installation.

What happens if I change a finish after approval?

We review the requested replacement and the items it affects. A new material or finish needs a fresh selection decision, with the relevant quote and product details updated. Materials already purchased or work already completed can affect feasibility, cost and timing. Those effects are agreed before the affected additional work proceeds.
