Off-white kitchen cabinetry, an oak island with seating and an open pantry with shelves

Cabinet Design & Layout Planning

Plan where your cabinetry goes, what it stores and how it looks before fabrication details begin. We develop layouts, cabinet proportions and finish direction for kitchens, wardrobes, vanities, laundry rooms and other built-ins, with design-only and design-and-supply options.

Cabinet Layouts, Storage Plans & 3D Views

We turn your room plan and storage priorities into a cabinet arrangement you can review. Layouts establish the cabinet positions and access; elevations and 3D views develop the front proportions, storage choices and finishes together.

Cabinet Design for Kitchens, Closets & Built-Ins

Kitchens & Pantry Storage

We arrange food storage, preparation, cooking and cleanup around the room and selected appliances. An island or peninsula is considered alongside seating, opening doors and the space needed to move between work areas. Pantry shelves and drawers follow what you need to store.

Kitchen Cabinet Configurations

Wardrobes, Vanities & Room Storage

Wardrobes balance hanging space, folded clothes, drawers and door access. Vanities place storage around the basin; laundry and home-office cabinets account for equipment and work surfaces. We develop a consistent cabinet appearance while giving each room its own internal arrangement.

Hinged-Door Wardrobes

Drawer Storage, Cabinet Fronts & Finish Choices

We develop the internal storage and the fronts you see as one design. The amount of hanging or drawer space changes the cabinet divisions; a handle, open shelf or contrasting panel changes how those divisions read across the room.

Storage by Use

Frequently used dishes, cookware or clothing shape where drawers, shelves and hanging areas sit. Large or awkward items need their own allowance; an open shelf and a closed cabinet can serve different parts of the same room.

Door & Drawer Proportions

Front divisions are arranged across adjoining units and around appliances. We compare tall doors, stacked drawers, open sections and handles so the preferred appearance works with the intended storage.

Cabinet & Countertop Palette

We coordinate the door style and finish with exposed panels, handles and nearby surfaces. A retained floor, countertop or wall finish can anchor the palette. Physical sample review can follow once the finish direction is selected.

Room Plans, Appliance Choices & Storage Requirements

A design can start before every product is selected. We use the information available to develop the layout and identify the appliance, room or storage decisions that still affect it. Final site dimensions come from your local project team.

Starting informationWhat we useDesign decision

From Cabinet Layout to a Selected Design

The layout is settled before detailed fabrication work. We develop the arrangement first, then refine the storage and appearance through the review rounds included in your design proposal.

  1. Set the Cabinet Priorities

We review the rooms, retained items, storage needs and budget with you. The starting brief identifies which cabinets to design and any appliance or room information that is still missing.

  2. Review Layout & Appearance

The proposed layout and agreed views bring the storage arrangement, front proportions and finishes together. Your consolidated feedback guides the changes within that design direction.

  3. Hand Off the Selected Design

The agreed design files carry the cabinet arrangement and finish direction forward. If you also want supply, selected products move into a separate quotation; fabrication details are developed at the shop-drawing stage.

Your local team verifies room dimensions, service locations and installation conditions. Structural changes, local code review, permits and trade installation remain with qualified professionals at the project location.

Cabinet Design Fees, Files & Revisions

The design fee reflects the number of rooms and distinct built-ins, the information already available, the requested views and the depth of storage and finish development. Our proposal lists the work and included review rounds before design begins.

Design Only or Design & Supply
You can commission the cabinet design without ordering cabinets from NOVARMIA. For design and supply, the product quotation lists the cabinets, selected materials and fittings, quantities and prices on their own lines.
PDF, Images & Editable CAD
PDF layouts, rendered images and editable CAD files are available. Your proposal lists the plans, elevations, views and formats in the handoff. Cabinet component and fabrication details belong to a dedicated shop-drawing commission.
Changes & Additional Work
Each included round combines feedback within the agreed design. Additional rounds, added rooms or a new design direction are quoted with their time impact and approved before additional work begins. Corrections to errors in our work do not use your revision allowance.

Cabinet Design & Layout Planning Questions

Can I commission a kitchen or wardrobe design without ordering cabinets?

Yes. Cabinet design is available as a design-only commission. You can also combine it with cabinet supply, with design work and product purchases each identified on their own.

Can you revise a cabinet layout from my architect or another supplier?

Yes. We can develop or revise a layout you provide. The brief identifies what should remain and what needs changing, such as appliance positions, drawer storage or the door style. The supplier carrying out the order still needs to review the final product details before manufacture.

Do I need to choose every appliance before design starts?

No. Appliance types and approximate positions can support an initial layout. Exact models and their installation information are needed to settle the affected cabinet spaces; a later model change may alter the layout or add drawing work.

Can you plan storage around how my household uses the room?

Yes. Clothing, cookware, pantry items and equipment help determine the balance of hanging areas, shelves and drawers. We can also account for access preferences and retained pieces; local accessibility or code requirements need review by your qualified project professionals.

What is the difference between cabinet design and shop drawings?

Cabinet design resolves the arrangement, storage, proportions and finishes. Shop drawings develop the selected design into product-specific dimensions, sections, materials and hardware details for manufacturing review. They are different stages, and the proposal identifies any shop-drawing work included.

Can the design keep an existing countertop or avoid moving plumbing?

Yes. Retained features can be part of the design brief. We plan cabinet positions around the supplied dimensions and service locations, and identify where they restrict the arrangement. Your local team verifies the existing conditions and assesses any alteration to plumbing, wiring or the countertop.
